The English Language Course for Children from 12 to 16 (Odessa)

 

6226453Special programs are worked out for children (12-16) at Bridge School. Depending upon the level the teenagers have the following stages of studying.

 

The English Language for children (starter)

 

The course book  “New Snapshot Starter” Pearson Longman.

The course lasts 100 academic hours. The classes are two times a week (one class is one astronomic hour (60 min)).

On completion of this level the pupils will be able to speak on following topics:

  • Greetings, asking name and age
  • Introduction
  • Asking questions about the place of people and things
  • Nationalities and the place where people come from
  • Speaking about family and describing appearance
  • Asking giving telephone number, name and address
  • Speak about our likes/ dislikes
  • Asking permissions

  • Getting to know about school subjects

  • Speaking about activities, that are happening now

Grammar at this level:

Verb to be, demonstrative pronouns this/that, these/those, indefinite article a/an, possessive pronouns, question words, prepositions of place, the definite article the, plural nouns, modal verb can, possessive case, verb have got, some/ any, the Present Simple tense, object pronouns, there is/there are, verb want +infinitive, adverbs of frequency, love/like/hate+ gerund, the Present Continuous  Tense, Future (to be going to), the Past Simple (regular/irregular verbs), degrees of comparison (adjectives), imperatives.

The English language Course for children (Elementary)

The course lasts 100 academic hours. The classes are 2 times a week (one class is one astronomic hour 60 min).

On completion of this level the pupils will be able to speak on following topics:

The English Language for children (Pre-Intermediate)

The course lasts 100 academic hours. The classes are 2 times a week (one class is one astronomic hour 60 min).

Modal verbs may/might for predictions, infinitive of purpose, conjunctions so /because, words first/then/before, adjectives (degrees of comparison+much+bigger (as…as), prepositions of movement, the Present Prefect (just, already,yet), mind+gerund, the Present Perfect Continuous, some/any, no, every+thing, one where, second conditional, the Past Perfect, too much/many/enough, used t, verb+infinitive (gerund).

The English Language Course for children (Intermediate)

The course lasts 100 academic hours. The classes are 2 times a week (one class is one astronomic hour 60 min).
